Yeah, no. NOR. The first message shouldn’t have happened, but if he’d left it at “ok great, enjoy your new phone!” I would have been ok with that. But that second message is beyond inappropriate.
Tell him in no uncertain terms to leave you the hell alone. Definitely report this to the store management. If he’s the manager, report it to their corporate offices. I’d actually do all of the above.
Does he really think ‘I can’t stop looking at your boobs” is a compliment that’s going to get him a date? Report him. This is creepy.

OMG! It’s not normal for someone from the store to contact you like that, especially with your address. I’d recommend blocking the number immediately and reporting it to your carrier or the store.

Please. Please. Please go to another store nearby of the same carrier and ask for the District Manager’s information. Report ALL of this and demand that they close the loop with you. Also, find the email address online for the CEO of this company. It may sound stupid, but our CEO has a team that reads his emails, and they respond to customer escalations. This salesperson needs to be fired. You better believe this person is doing it to ALL of their customers. We have a way of seeing people that touch/open your account after the sale has completed. EVERYTHING is logged. We can see when and what parts of your account were accessed.

Guys im getting way too many replies than I can respond to. He messaged me three or four times on facebook. The last two times he was basically apologizing and begging me not to report him. There can’t be any way that he saw this can there?
If anybody sees this and if you’re interested I can maybe upload the screenshots to those too.
I’m not going to lie but I do kind of feel bad. He was a young kid from what I could tell. But I know I need to report him. That’s what I’m going to do first thing in the morning.
The only issue that I have is what someone else mentioned about the fact that he has my address. He’s obviously impulsive and unhinged if he was willing to send that many messages and friend request me. I’m a little nervous to be honest with you guys. I’ll keep you guys updated.
There will be men like this that will say inappropriate and vulgar things to you for the rest of your life. The best thing we can do for our daughters, little sisters, and besties is to shut it the F down every time. Go scorched earth with this. Report it to his manager, post it to the company’s FB, message his mom/wife/whoever. If no one acts they will continue with this behavior.

I would go beyond store management and call your carrier directly and ask to speak to customer service. Let them know that an employee who assisted you in store has used his access to look at your personal information including your home address and has sent you sexually harassing text messages and has now added you on social media.
I would also file a police report for stalking.
OP, I got half a shift at a Metro store fired because they all got WAY too close to me, offered me “special” discounts if you get my meaning, and made overly forward comments.
I’d lose my shit on a whole company if I got this.

Obviously this is beyond inappropriate but isn’t this against the law from a data protection standpoint?
For a store employee to skim a customer’s personal phone number and address to then use for their own personal devices outside of store.
I’m pretty sure this is an actionable offence (firing or legal action). Where I’m from it would be GDPR or Data Protection Act but I’m not sure what your equivalent is.
Like you can tell a manager sure but this feels more like criminal offence territory because he took your data outside of the store to use on his personal phone (I’m assuming that’s his personal number).
It might not even be wise to go to the manager depending on the shop. I was severely sexually harassed by an employee & I made the mistake of calling the employer first so when the police got there, they hid him. They could not find him no matter how much evidence I gave them. The company covered for him.
Consider not warning a manager & going straight to police instead.

I had this happen when I was younger and it terrified me as this guy had all my info. I also had a security guard in my building find me on Facebook and ask me about….someone who shouldn’t know my name as I’d never told him. wtf is wrong with men?
