Could be cheating, could also be linked to the previous driver of the vehicle since you mentioned he has had the truck for only 2 weeks…
I think this is one of those cases where you’d be best to try and find some more incriminating evidence before jumping to conclusion.

Do not rely on the commentary of these paranoid bums to determine if you’re overreacting or not.
Not enough evidence yet, keep your eyes on him and hope for the best meanwhile.

I’ve owned my car nearly a year now, yesterday I lifted the mat to clean it & found a shopping list in what is clearly an older persons handwriting. I’ve removed the mat several times to clean before.
Now I know my partner LOVES going shopping, but I won’t be turning my recent discovery into an accusation that she is moonlighting as a grocery chaperone for the elderly, or that she has an octogenarian sugar daddy.

This could be plenty of things, there isn’t enough evidence here.
It is possible you missed it, I know you don’t think so, but yes it is possible.
It’s possible it is from the previous driver.
Who has access to the truck?
Has any woman been in the truck for work purposes?
From what you typed there’s zero trust anyway, so you do whatever you have to do.
He doesn’t make you feel sexy or wanted? How often does he initiate sex and how often do you accept? There was a time where I was getting shot down 98% of the time by my wife, so I let her know that it won’t happen any more and I stuck to it. Was there a stretch where you frequently turned him down?

I’d look for more evidence before talking to him again about it. You need hard proof. It does scream she wants you to know though.

There’s no way to turn this into definitive proof of anything, so I wouldn’t put too much stock in the earring itself. If it’s piqued your suspicions, as it obviously has, then I think you’ll need to find a better way to find out for sure.

Could have easily been left in there accidentally by the previous owners of the truck, since it’s only been 2 weeks it would be super easy not to notice that. Or he could be cheating 🤷♂️

It is entirely plausible that he’s not lying, however if you’ve been in the truck since he got it and didn’t notice it prior, that’s strange. I would probably trust him if he doesn’t have a confirmed history of cheating, if you want more intimacy, initiate it. If he doesn’t want intimacy and you do, leave him. Sometimes relationships change over time.

I mean, I miss things I’m actually looking for that are right in front of my face. And I’ve actually found/noticed things in houses I’ve lived in years after moving in. It’s really not that far-fetched to think you might have not noticed it before.
However, the fact that he just suddenly started being a “good husband” a mere few months ago is concerning.
Unless you suddenly started being nice to him and stopped nagging and all the other behaviors that turn men off from their wives, such sudden shifts can be a sign of cheating. They start overcompensating at home out of guilt over the cheating.

My wife misses her phone, while it’s buzzing, 20 inches from her face. I have literally reached past her into the fridge to the thing she said she couldn’t find, that was on the shelf, at eye level to her, and put my finger on it to point it out.
Anyone can miss ANYTHING.

Not nearly enough proof to cut off a 25 year marriage over. First, he’s only been driving the vehicle for 2 weeks. Second, it’s a work truck and thus is probably shared amongst others. Is it odd? Yes. But it’s very much in the realm of misunderstanding. You didn’t find a condom, you found an earring in a shared vehicle that he just recently started driving. I’d say give him the benefit of doubt and chalk it up to insecurities over recent marital strife unless better evidence arises.

You said he’s only had it for 2 weeks. I was cleaning my used car the other day and found 50 pesos and a USB drive with Spanish music on it. No idea how I never found them. Find something more substantial

There’s one thing that really jumps out to me with stories like this one.
I once found a pair of women’s underwear that weren’t mine in my boyfriend’s laundry. I didn’t know what to do, we were just supposed to be going out for ice cream, and I started crying, and he said what’s wrong, and I said “I found these and they’re not mine”. And he just immediately looked as heart stricken and flabberghasted as I did. He was like “oh no, what can we do? Should I ask my sister if these are hers? Maybe they got stuck to the washing machine. Do you think it could be someone in our apartment complex ? How would I find that out???” Just 100% dedicated to figuring out what happened and getting more info. And I started apologizing for freaking out about it because I didn’t want to accuse him of anything, and he was like “You shouldn’t feel sorry for anything, I know what this looks like and I would be freaking out too.” His reaction *immediately* made me feel better.
Whenever I hear about a husband hearing his wife bring really convincing evidence of infidelity and going off about *your* lack of trust and *you* doing something to ruin the relationship… that makes me feel worried. I know that there could very much be a rational reason behind this earring other than cheating. But any rational person can very much understand that seeing something like this and feeling scared that your partner is cheating isn’t a lack of trust thing. It’s a responding rationally to the evidence in front of you thing. If my partner responded to that situation the way your husband did, I would feel worse about it, not better.

Did he have the car cleaned recently? It could have been an earring lost by a previous owner/user. If it was found by the cleaners, they may have stuck it in the visor just so you could find it. I’ve done that before.
There are endless possibilities. One earring does not mean cheating. Your insecurities do not equal cheating. A sexless marriage is common and does not equal cheating.
What this post does seem to indicate is that you have some innate insecurities about your marriage. Contemplating the significance of a tiny earring on Reddit will not alleviate your concerns. Seek counseling and better communication with your partner.
