There’s actually a website that checks papers for you that one of my teachers use, turns out it says 90% chances of AI on pretty much any paper written so they finally stopped relying on it once they tested one of their own papers they wrote back when they were in school lmao

In 2009 I used the word “waylay” in a paper I wrote for a college level English class. The “professor” circled the word and took points off saying “not a word”. Imagine an English teacher who can’t be bothered to look up a word they don’t recognize.

This is a real problem now, you have to make intentional spelling and grammar mistakes and use simple words to avoid the AI detectors. It’s so ridiculous.

I got flagged for using AI in a class where I had to design a theoretical database, figure THAT one out.

Teacher here. I always ask kid to explain. If he doesnโt know what 30 percent of the words mean, he or she is busted. They usually confess.

Oooooor. Hear me out as I submitted my manuscript yesterday with plagiarism percentage of 2% from Scribbr ๐๐๐. How about searching for the word’s Synonyms on google?! Of course with a hell of reading. English isn’t my 1st language and it’s been 2 years since my last publishing ON MY OWN ๐๐
