There are people who literally watch it for commercials. Like, they only pay attention to the commercials. Theyโre excited about fucking commercials.

Iโm an American, and I like the Super Bowl because it made it easy to get into a popular restaurant tonight.

Think of it as the ICC World Cup, only instead of happening every four years itโs an annual event.

It’s American football. Say it again. AMERICAN football. Nobody else in the world cares about it. It’s just a less interesting version of rugby, except, it’s got a grotesque amount of corporate fluff bolted into it
There’s like 15 minutes of actual play in a game that lasts for hours, so you can cram a billion “commercials” in-between

I don’t mind the actual sport itself but my god, the hyper commercialized broadcast is mind numbing. On a related note, I paid extra money during the 22 FIFA World Cup to watch the English coverage, and not the god awful American coverage.
