A guy I know was shot to death similarly and it didn’t even make the local news. It made the paper but only in the context of the victims past, as if to make it look like gang violence due to the victims past having a prior juvenile record from like 15 years earlier.
Justice really is different for the ultra rich.
Good thing Reddit and other social media sites did the hard work for the police and shared his photo everywhere, 24/7 for this entire week so a random stranger at a McDonalds could identify him.

I’ve always said it: if someone steals from Walmart—a company worth billions upon billions of dollars—the cops are called and get there immediately despite the fact that the theft means absolutely nothing to the bottom line of the company.
But call the cops when your house gets robbed and you lose everything you’ve worked for years to afford, they’ll be there hours later to shrug and tell you there’s nothing they can do.
Police exist to protect the status quo, not to protect the average citizen.

Cops indirectly work for rich people, going back to at least the 1920 labor protests. It works like this: Chief of police and fire is a political position because they are hired by commisions and CAN be fired by the mayor or governor with no oversight (New York Law). Meaning, that any mayor who is bought and paid for can threaten to fire the chief of police if their cops on the ground don’t do what the mayor wants. and what the mayor wants is what their donors want. This creates unofficial policies that go against the good of people cops are sworn to protect.
Just look at the United Healthcare CEO murderer the police magically found. There are so many murders and rapes in New York that don’t receive 50% of the effort being shown on that case. The only explanation that reasonably makes sense is that someone in the NYPD is being threatened or bribed to pull resources off other cases involving ‘ordinary’ people and to solve that high-profile case quickly, which is directly in conflict with a policeman’s oath to be an impartial administrator of the law.

They didn’t catch the CEO’s killer.
They caught a man that allegedly is the killer. It will take a trial and a conviction to prove the man they captured is the actual killer.
And considering he will have a jury of his peers, everyone in NYC and the surrounding areas should be doing their best to discuss how jury duty works, including the parts of ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ and ‘jury nullification’.
If convicted felons can become president, why can’t people who are just accused of murdering a CEO be allowed to live a quiet life? True justice would be a jury letting this man go free, no matter the evidence.
Crimes against the ruling class should never be convicted by a jury of the working class until more legal equality occurs. Jury nullification is a valid form of social protest

Trump was probably in his contact list, is he a “client”? Look at your Contacts App on your phone, who’s an intimate partner and who’s an acquaintance. How do you separate the innocent from the guilty? Are all of P Diddy’s friends and followers guilty of sexual misconduct?
“Clients” completely misunderstands the situation.
Epstein was not a pimp for underage prostitutes. He was running a BLACKMAIL ring.
Even if there was a “list” (which I have not actually seen any indication of outside of millions of people on the internet saying “release the list”), chances are it is filled with BLACKMAIL VICTIMS.
Remember, we have the benefit of hindsight now. The plane didn’t literally say “Lolita Express” on the side of it, that’s a name given by the media AFTER Epstein’s arrest. All most of these people knew was that Epstein was a member of NY high society who threw big parties and seemed to know EVERYONE. They show up to one of his parties, and hey, turns out Epstein has these “masseuses” working for him. He offers to have his employees give you a massage, and then OH, apparently it’s more than a massage. And it’s not until the next morning that he says “oh yeah that girl last night? She’s 16, and I have the whole thing on tape, so I own you.”
I’m not defending anyone, I still think we should prosecute anyone and everyone who we have evidence they committed a crime. But you can see why authorities are hesitant to just release “the list” (if it even exists at all). It’s not illegal to go to a freaky rich people sex party (so long as everyone is consenting and over 18).
