The one on the right has warm, softer lighting and a relatively clean face, which makes it appear more feminine. The one on the left has cold, harsher lighting and a dirty face which makes it appear more masculine.

Tracing lines on video game characters facial features, we’ve reached a new pinnacle of human degeneration.
Lighting and shading. Basically old Ciri looked plasticky because the games wasn’t looking for photorealistic graphics but handmade stylized graphics. Now she doesn’t looks like one of their imaginary blow up dolls.
There are some “not pretty” characters in games recently that have gotten some attention, but this is just a bizzarre one to freak out over…
For those unfamiliar with Witcher and how it works it’s that mix of science and magic. The main point is that a side effect of undergoing the science process of becoming a Witcher it makes you age very slowly, example: Geralt in witcher 3 is almost 100, and that’s considered above middle aged.
Witcher 4 has to take place at minimum 3 years after the third game so these chuds are freaking out that Ciri, who was 21 in W3, is getting older

I think they’re also looking at the eyebrow ridge, which is good because now looking at old ciri’s brow ridge, I wonder if her skull would look alien with how smooth the features are
