I’m so glad that I have never used it and never will, genuinely.
I feel like the government setting the precent to ban anything they (or their owners) don’t like is the bigger issue.

The real villains are all the western devs copying short form content platforms and just gluing the model to thier own established services. Shorts ruined YouTube insta snap and Facebook, and the worst thing is they cannot be turned off.
When I tell people I hope Tik Tok gets banned, they always say “Well Facebook, Google and Twitter all do the same things.” Yeah, I’m ok with those being banned too. I only use Reddit really, and I’d be down with that getting banned as well.

I don’t think it is shutting down, isn’t it just getting banned in the US? People will just circumvent that with VPN’s anyway, right? I mean that’s what they do with pornhub in Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, etc.
