The delusion that the taxpayers are going to get back any money is astounding
I’ll never understand how someone can simultaneously hate government handouts, while also being desperate to receive them, how gullible they are
Man, how far has Yang fallen from the left?
It’s not a rebate. It’s not a refund. It’s you saving thousands of dollars per month by not paying your credit card bills, utilities, and mortgage/rent.
ETA: They’re trying to make us all abettors to their pilfering of the federal coffers.
Also totally refutes the fiscal conservative argument we have been beaten over the head with for decades as a way of masking their social demeaning of minority groups. Do you want to balance the budget, or do you want a rebate? If they were the fiscal group they belived themselves to be they would send that savings straight to eliminating debt. But we knew it was never really about that.

The entire premise of urgency with regards to doing this audit was because the sky was falling and the economy is collapsing because we can’t pay interest on our debt. The LAST thing that should happen with that money is to give it to tax payers who will buy more Chinese crap increasing the deficit further.

There’s an argument to be made here for UBI, but we all know that shit ain’t happening.
I’m in Oregon, and every two years we get a “kicker rebate.” In short, when the State’s actual revenue is more than two percent of projected revenue, by law the overage goes back to taxpayers. It happens way more than it doesn’t, and $11 billion was returned in the last decade. Yet Oregon never seems to have enough money for anything….
I’ll use mine to buy bullets.

And…they give you a rebate while inflation rises, food prices rise, healthcare is gone, taxes go up, a consumption tax is placed on all goods … Trump/Musk is going to without question make people pay more for everything!!! We are not even through the first 100 days and prices and inflation are going up!! On top of that … we have zero safety nets of any kind! When they cut healthcare … insurance companies will deny to cover people with pre-existing conditions!! We will have a NATION of sick and unvaccinated people!!!
