How dare audiophiles have better hearing than yours, how dare they have a hobby and enjoy finding nuance and clarity in music. How dare they be able to afford high quality equipment.
How dare they have fun.
Well yeah
When you hear high quality headphone immediately after hearing 0.02$ earbuds, and vice versa, you can see why they would spend thousands

Not sure about this meme. My hearing is BAD and even I can hear the difference between an AKG K702 and your standard Beats.

The issue with beats is:
– Uncomfortable as hell
– sound quality is good… until you get to hear real sound quality
– price to quality ratio.
Beats sound good when your previous speaker/headphone experience was base TV sound or the default speakers you get with your phone or other sub 50€ speaker. Even then the quality spike from a decent 50€ pair and beats is not that far off.
For the price of beats though? You can get really good quality headphones which will make Beats sound like headphones you get from chewing gum vending machines. And they’re so cheaply built, they ended up breaking for me just trying to put them over my head because the plastic lost it’s elasticity with barely 0 degrees temperatures (Celsius). Absolute trash on all fronts.
There are many other better and cheaper alternatives to Beats
This post has to be bait lamo.Regardless imma taken the bait; beats were designed to be mid af. They are for the normie market to buy based off brand rec not the actual fidelity of the audio they can produce.

Me over here with my AT-AD500x open back. Cheaper and miles better than beats.
I don’t even consider myself an audiophile but I would still rather listen to music from hi-fi equipment than cheap headphones
My $50 yamahas that I got at goodwill have better sound clarity than Beats

My hearing sucks and I’m the second one but I cannot afford it best I can do is like a 30 dollar soundbar but its way better than headphones or TV Speakers

I did very high end audio installations in very expensive homes. My boss was sure I was aware of the cost of the components I was working with. He would be like “That’s a $3,000 CD transport or a $5,000 DA converter, be careful because it’s not insured” The first time he did an A / B comparison between Best Buy level Pioneer gear and a $30,000 high end system I was totally blown away. That was in the mid 90’s and planar speakers were all the rage. One advertisement had a blind person try to figure out what was being played live by a guy with a guitar and what was recorded and played back.
