Probably one of the most entertaining matches Aus have played that I remember. Konstas ramping bumrah feels like it was a month ago with all the different shit that’s happened
Last session was absolute cinema
Cummins Captaincy to the tailenders in this innings was peak. Cleaned them up in 10 overs.
What an incredible test match!
Australia were first running away with 237/2 before being reduced to 246/5 & 299/6.
Then Smith & Cummins got them to 411 and some tail resistance got them to 474.
India were flying at 153/2 before a late day collapse left them 159/5 and later on 221/7.
A 127 run partnership then threatened to turn things around as Australia only got a 105 run lead.
At 80/2, Australia would’ve been thinking of scoring quickly to set up the chase which showed itself in Smith’s poor shot leading to losing 4 wickets for 11 runs, puting India right back if not ahead in the game.
From 91/6 two 50+ run partnerships (including one for the 10th wicket) set up a 340 off 92 overs chase.
India started off great giving Australia no chances before Cummins striked twice.
The 4th wicket partnership were dead set on getting India safely to the end before a late collapse of 34/7, with the old ball which has been so torrid for bowlers this test, left Australia with an incredible win.
What a boxing day test it has been.

Nathan Lyon. What a man. Turned the game around yesterday with the bat, now with the ball.
The difference in all aspects of the game was clearly visible, the captaincy, the catching, the contribution by tailenders, Australia was clearly the better team here. GG Aussies.
Lyon and Boland’s partnership completely destroyed our chances of saving the match. Literally nothing after that mattered as it was always going one way.
