oh believe me, solidworks will consume all the RAM and CPU power it can get its dirty hands on

solidworks is actually quite heavy program.

Perfectly acceptable, work and pleasure all together. And solid will drain all resources available so the more the merrier

Solidworks will eat up a 5090 and spit it out ruined

Shiiit… I got that Samsung Oled G8 UW on that $500 Edu deal a couple weeks back….

And my most played games are Balatro and factorio lol

Before purchase: “yeah I absolutely need a good computer to run AutoCAD and industrial simulation software”

After purchase: *gaming*

Three words: Cities Skylines II

Destroyer of PCs

Heir to Crysis

Gobbler of CPU Cores

Damn, Phoeby was a smoke show

>not enough storage

>ram might be slow since no speed or latency specified

>wasted money on watercooling a 4080

>probably doesn’t update bios for 14th gen intel issue

Every time I see a 17-18 yr old asking for a $2000-2500 computer for their upcoming engineering or architecture courses, I roll my eyes.

They are either deluding themselves that they are going to be doing any sort of advanced software usage or they just can’t find it to be honest with themselves to admit that they want a gaming system.

I bought my current pc to have the power to beef up skyrim with a shitton of mods. I did do that, but I’m currently going through a phase in which I get a ton of 90s/2000s tycoon games

Don’t forget rimworld

![gif](giphy|1BfS2hhYNHghBYn2cs)

I was staring at a 4090 in Microcenter thinking about maxing out my credit card but I remembered I mostly play Rimworld and my 3060 will do that forever

Me using my 9800X3D to play Oxygen Not Included.

But can it run crysis?

Why would you liquid cool a 4080?

[The original lines are great too](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6dQxQBHiB0)

12MB of RAM, 500MB hard drive, built-in spreadsheet capabilities and a modem that transmits at over 28000 BPS!

Wow, what are you gonna use it for?

Games and stuff.

Don’t forget Age of empires

The amounts of students in mechanical i told them that a 4080 isnt required and an amd cpu is enough for 90% of their studies is way too much…..

Creo gang, ride or die 🤙

Same thing happens everyday in the phone industry.

People buy the top tier $1,300 flagship phone and use it for Instagram and texting.

Doesn’t he play RuneScape on it in the show

Dont forget and “wow classic”

😂

And Factorio, of course. More Factorio

Yep! My PC isn’t anything new, and when I think about upgrading, I remember that I’ll still just play Factorio on that one too

This hits hard!

aahahahhahahaha that’s me. I really do it.

I’ll get that system and then play indie games 99% of the time.

This is basically me with my desktop at home, except I play Space Station 13. A multiplayer retro game that was initially developed in 2003.

Google docs, vs code and terminal

Just only for games : miner and solitare

I feel personally insulted

Lol I watched this episode today 🙂 and they use it to make a list in text editor xD

Nearly the same PC as me lol, but luckily I have a few games that keep me busy day in and day out.

I’m running 10M cell CFD simulation of my HP Envy convertible laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 and integrated graphics card. It’s currently the temperature of venus and screaming like a F16 at liftoff. Outside it’s cold, I’m making hot chocolate on the keyboard. Life is good.

I mean… Isn’t this most people owning really fast cars? You don’t get it to always go that fast you get it because it *can go that fast*.

Very accurate. I’m a 3D CAD designer so I see these questions a lot.

I want 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and whatever graphics I can get, because my Celeron can’t even run Chrome

Why yes MR boss I need a 4060 ti to run 3 monitors certainly not to play satisfactory.
