there are entire subreddits that will ban you before you so much as look in their direction for commenting in some subreddit they don’t like. More insidious are the ones that effectively shadowban you for the same reason.
Subreddits that ban you for insulting someone who responded to you with a nasty, aggressive reply:

I got banned from walkaway for taking the piss out of them, then got banned in other subreddits for the fact I had commented in walkaway
