PSY didn’t disappear. In fact, I think he’s still going on by making more songs. It’s just that that one specific song was worldwide popular while all the others are WAY less behind.

Pretty sure he was well-known in Korea before this song and is still well-known there now. Even at the time this song was blowing up in the U.S., he was pretty candid that he was aware the popularity of the song was kind of a freak phenomenon and that everything would return to normal soon. He did the right thing by living it up to the fullest while the song was in heavy rotation.
