My mum made a doorbell for our cat. She uses it every day and knows that if you don’t come right away, she can ring it again. Sometimes she rings it to get you to go outside and pet her.

Cats have a type of power, called mind control. They use it when they REALLY want something. Some rare humans are immune to their power, which just leads to endless yelling.

Out last cat used to know how to use the door knocker. It’d jump up and flick it. Clever as fuck. But also annoying as fuck because that was his default reaction to coming inside. We even had a cat flap installed in the back door at one point but because he was a cat he thought that wouldn’t be as annoying. He’d happily let himself out at 2am using the cat flap but coming back in? Yeah let’s start using the door knocker at 3am.

In a similar vein, years ago we had a Border Collie, and she was very VERY intelligent. One night my gf, now wife, were chilling in my room and wanted to get something from the kitchen but it was too late and dark. So I called out “*dogs name* turn the kitchen light on” and almost immediately the light in the kitchen turned on. We just looked at each other like ‘wtf just happened?!?’ and started laughing our arses off.
Turns out someone was walking into the kitchen from the other entry way and it was just a coincidence, but we have told our kids about my old dog who could turn light switches on and off whenever we asked.haha

I really need the commas put into the last sentence. Otherwise this is wayyyy to open to interpretation 🤣
