CEO Brian Niccol is screwing over 12,000 workers and their families. He’s getting paid $100+ million to do it. What’s it gonna take to get a fair contract, Brian?
I wish this were not true and I don’t want it to happen, but I believe the greed is soooo deep at the top the only answer to this question is violence.

I get the idea that a corporation will spend $700 to avoid paying its workers $500 and consider it money well spent.

Go watch Joshua Fluke’s video on the cost of this “CEO” going to the office from his house to show how he goes to the office so others should be able to. It will piss you off even more.

Yeah, the ceo of Starbucks was hired to treat his employees like shit.
There are two kinds of CEO’s companies hire, massively overpaid ceos who are only going to be there for a year or two to fix problems with the business or implement ways to be more financially successful. The other type of ceo is there more long term lower paid ceo that’s meant to be like, the main ceo of the company that focuses on expanding the business more and growing it as opposed to cutting costs and stuff.
At the same time, companies hire these temp CEO’s to take all the fallout for what the company is doing, there bein paid a premium to work there because they’re suppose to be firing thousands of employees cutting costs and turning the business more profitable until the long term ceo can run the company.

What skills can possibly be worth that much? Seriously. If you can build me a 3bd 2bth house 2 story yourself, to code, from the dirt up and cook me a 5 course meal that can please a chef… build me a replica kit car of gt500 in the garage… and landscape the yard… setup the neighborhoods book swap box… yourself. While maintaining a full time job and family..
then you might be worth a couple mil to the people.Â

And just like that, someone who identifies as being right leaning/centrist is on the same team as Bernie Sanders. I disagree with the man on so much, but when it comes to this type of issue, he’s so correct.

What’s lost in these discussions is that if the CEO doesn’t post growth numbers, he’ll lose his job.
My point here is that the solution isn’t as simple as what your CEO does, it’s that his primary responsibility is and always will be to the shareholders.
Unless that changes, nothing else will.
