Just curious: why did you opt for Douglas instead of Doug?
My real name is Doug and I’m somewhat fascinated by how it’s a known name but not very popular. Aside from the obvious show Doug, it’s rarely a name given to a protagonist.
Then there’s E.R. That’s the most handsome Doug that ever existed.
Whenever I’m at the playground with the kids I go to the swings and have at it! Half of the grown ups frown disapprovingly, the other half looks like the squirrel. Don’t be the squirrel.
This hit way too close to home; I recently realized that I got a lot of my childhood interests moreso because I wanted to look cool and smart and mature than because I was actually passionate about that stuff
