Is the insurance company’s AI able to hire a hitman if it thinks a company exec is overpaid and damaging the company with poor decision making??
If it is, who is guilty?

I read that the other executives had to walk past and some had to walk over the blood on the sidewalk to get to the meeting he was on his way to attend. They didn’t even postpone the fucking meeting!! That’s how cold these shitheads are. That money ain’t gonna steal itself.

It is impossible for the average person to have empathy for a billionaire. The only way to acquire a billion dollars is literally on the backs of destroyed lives and corpses. I personally hope Robin Hood has a list.

Y’all remember when conservatives were upset about universal healthcare because there would be “death panels” of doctors to triage care? So they created actual death panels of super-rich people instead. Genuinely fucking stupid

Exactly. If we don’t let AI decide who lives or dies, what are we really even doing here? There is no need to trouble ourselves with such judgements, when they are so readily available elsewhere. Truly, our legacy of philosophers from Socrates, to Plato and Aristotle. Freud, Kant, Nietzsche. Surely, all of them would understand the need to create shareholder value via extraction of money via AI based, algorithmic determinations of the value of human life.

I bet if we applied a non-biased AI to Healthcare CEOs it would probably see their collective demise as a giant cost-savings opportunity.

Yeah, the CEO actually made it to the hospital alive. The surgeon was about to operate, but the claim got denied so the insurance agency is saying he was DoA to avoid looking bad.

Love how people act like capitalism isn’t literally the problem with everything. Like, we could be living in a world with better healthcare, education, and equality if we actually cared about people over profit. It’s time for a change, not just band-aid solutions.

So why do we care.? His greedy ass took money and refused to help those who need it the most, he had lives on his hands who paid him, and denied so many people, my aunt was under him, and denied her vison and her medications like what the fuck was she paying him for.? His greed was his life, and greed took it

The more fucked up thing is seeing our leaders mourn this ghoul who killed so many grandmas and children through his work.
Tim Walz thinks Brian Thompson was just a heck of a guy. I just voted for Tim for VP because he was so supposed to be a super good guy. What the fuck?
I called his office and left a comment about his shitty behavior.
I wish that Brian Thompson had to listen to the stories of all the people he killed in the afterlife, but I don’t believe in that stuff.

You know, it does sound dystopian but the amount of glazing the Corporate Media is doing is gross.
They’ll refer to the ceo as a “Pillar of his community” or “Great success story”…. like bitch, do you realize what’s going on? You do realize it only takes one match to start a fire.
These people are disgusting, propping up the worst of all humanity.
I can see a class war coming and they’re fucking terrified!!!!!

Every war we have ever been in was against people fighting for their beliefs, fighting for their country, or just fighting because their government forced them to. We rarely have empathy for them. I just watched tons of people justify the murder of thousands of children in Gaza for the murder of Israeli civilians these kids had nothing to do with. I have yet to hear any empathy from any of these execs for anyone outside of their own demographic.
They are monsters. They care only about themselves and those near to them. I’m glad to see so many come together and find common ground and hope it motivates us to work together against our true common enemy.

It’s not that murder is great. It’s that anyone who is the CEO of an American health insurance company is, pretty much by definition, a legitimately evil human being.
And not just because of the things he did in that role, but because of his decision to take it in the first place. The kinds of people who become CEOs of major corporations like that have a variety of career options, and are likely already financially independent before accepting yet another position that will pay them millions of dollars. This dude could have been a professor at a prestigious university, or ran a non-profit, or been the CEO of a regular company, or retired and fucked off to a ranch in Montana or something. This is a job he *chose*.
So while most of us aren’t condoning murder, no one should be surprised that we’re not exactly broken up over it either.

I can feel empathy for his family I guess. Even if he was evil if I was in his kids or wife’s shoes I’d have a hard time mourning my loved one while everyone else celebrated his death.
But for him? No not really. I’m not American but I’m not surprised this happened given the horror stories I’ve heard. If anything I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more frequently. I still think we shouldn’t kill people, but I’m not surprised that he was killed if that makes sense.

The AI machine is really just another tool of deflection, like a corporation, isn’t it? It’s the corporation or the AI that should be punished for bad decisions, not the real people. Huh. I hadn’t thought of AI like that until now. It’s a defense mechanism for the elite.
