Cis just means “on the same side of”. So, if you’re cisgender, your gender identity just aligns with your sex assigned at birth. These people are really, really, REALLY stupid.

I don’t like referring to myself as cis, I’m a man and that’s the identifier I’m comfortable using.
That being said Elon is a moron and I’m not gonna get upset if someone uses that term or whatever labels people want to use for themselves.
Respect for preference and language boundaries goes both ways, I’ll respect your pronouns because it’s ridiculous to tell another human being what their experience is as if you know better than them.

I think it’s because, in Afrikaans there’s a slang word “sis” which basically means disgusting and it’s pronounced exactly the same as “cis”. So as he’s from South Africa, he’s saying “I’m not disgusting, you are”

I feel like it’s the only slightly logical reason why that bellend is so offended by “cis”
