“Every night I say a prayer
In the hope that there’s a heaven
And everyday I’m more confused
As the saints turn into sinners
“All the heroes and legends I knew as a child
Have fallen to idols of clay
And I feel this empty place inside
So afraid that I lost my faith”

Every villian is misunderstood hero or has a sob story that justifies him being genocidal nutjob.

This is why one of two things needs to start happening.
1 – Greedy execs need to get out and stay out of the creative process
2 – Studios need to find new and original IP’s, not even kidding, there is so much undiscovered talent out there that don’t get noticed, the Indie scene for animation especially is such a goldmine

People say this. ..but outside online media it’s usually a celebrated thing at some point it stops being “Greedy Exces” and is just General Media Trends
We do it about every 30 years the biggest difference is a small minority couldn’t complain relentlessly
You think people are booing Sequels Prequels Remakes Redos Repurposes whatever
No people are asking for them even demanding them
People like familiarity
We really do repeat the same commentary every 30 years

I’m honestly shocked that we haven’t gotten a “*Red Dead Redemption*” series that shits all over the lore of the game yet. It’s one of those things that felt inevitable back when the game first hit big with people, but now (thankfully) seems like it might not happen.

I mean the reality is, this result was completely inevitable the way the industry is right now. People expect a bar of quality, and that bar *costs*. People also don’t go to the movies as often as they used to, so there’s less wiggle room to try something new.
You have to sell risk averse money people on your movies improving their investment. The easiest way is to do a reboot.
America and much of the rest of the developed world has moved away from film as a primary medium of entertainment and switched to TV

Reverse Flash (not a hero), but
CW stretched his character way too much over the seasons.

Optimus Prime comes to mind. I was soooo excited for the movie to come out but it was not in my area, or we didn’t have the money, not sure which exactly prevented me from seeing it. But the comic books released a trilogy of the movie so I went that route… I was so devastated.

Doesn’t stop at dead characters. They’re bringing back a retired Steve Rogers for Avengers 5. Or at least that’s what I think is happening. Would be cool if Chris Evans plays Hydra Cap instead though.

So what i wanna watch the character on the big screen once more and if it sucked just skip it and never acknowledge its existence just like Godfather 3 and Matrix 4
Somehow (every dead character ever) returnedÂ
