Honestly. Me and my girlfriend both work full time. I’m a manager at a local company and my girlfriend works in child development and she has a bachelor’s degree working on her master’s.
We are considering moving in together next year and we are honestly looking at campgrounds and buying a RV instead of renting or buying a house because everything is so fucking mind numbingly stupid expensive for no good reason.

This is the NIMBY/BANANA housing plan: prevent sufficient housing from being built either by private or government actors because entitled people want the government to prop up the value of their single-family properties.

The housing plan under communism seems to usually be building a lot of generic apartment blocks. Nothing fancy, but everyone has a basic dwelling.
Ironically regulation of the housing market is to blame. Capitalism would supply, NIMBYism prevents.
