I have thought of The Substance every day since I saw it. It’s a total genre bender, and the last 20 minutes truly defy description.
While I was disappointed that The Substance didn’t win in more categories, Demi Moore’s win was hard-earned. Her personal parallels of the same themes in The Substance add gut-wrenching, visceral depth to the story.
It’s my favorite film of the year.

I listened to the Cannes interview panel for The Substance and she just came off as so eloquent and was able to speak to the movie in such a brilliant and concise way.
Normally i hate listening to those kinds of things because directors can be cagey and actors will just stumble through or run on and on.
Dennis Quaid was a great example of this in the interview panel I mentioned above.

So it IS true. Demi Moore is the frontrunner for the Best Actress Oscar. Yet another actor that Tom Cruise has co-starred with that will win an Oscar before he does! lol
