MTG is just engaging a way of talking about a politician that is honestly lost upon me. She’s talking about him like a lover. I have seen others in that camp engage in similar behavior. For instance when Trump was going through his court case a few lawmakers even dressed up like him with the characteristic red tie and all. There have been politicians I have likes as well, but to be like this with them… never. Even if they did everything I wanted. Not them or a celebrity. They are just so distant.

Even the language often used by his rank and file is just bizarre. They will often use language like with respect to him returning to office, “Daddy is home and America’s been bad” or as far as restricting rights and going after people, “It’s time for the US to get a spanking” or as far as him filling positions with MAGA “The adults are back in the room.” I have heard this from celebs, read it all in youtube comments, here on reddit, you name it. I am sure many of you have read these themes from them as well. It’s so common.

I have heard academics mention things such as (and I am obviously paraphrasing here) fascism and authoritarianism is basically for weak people, people with “daddy issues,” overly disciplined people who felt they were too soon cast out by discipline happy parents. Ernest Becker is one such academic that comes to mind.

Yeah they lost, but when Tim Walz called them weird it was true. I suppose I am too, if being honest, but for them it takes on a sort of cultish, parasocial, group think. It’s not just Trump. All these fascist leaders have followings like this. It does not bode well for humanity. Concerning shit, truly.

We don’t have a Donald Trump primarily because we don’t worship our politicians, we also hold them accountable. Different different.

I’ll never understand women who fawn over a man who has been found guilty on raping women, has likely raped underage girls with his pal Epstein, barged in on underage girls in their dressing room, has bragged about grabbing women by the pussy on tape, has bragged about thinking of Ivanka as a sex object, calls women “nasty” all the time, and the chief sin of them all, purposely put the pieces in place to roll back Roe v Wade, a federal healthcare protection women have had for over 50 years. He’s the most anti woman candidate I’ve ever seen in my life time, how any woman thinks any positive thoughts about him are beyond me. If you’re a woman who does, just know he does. Not. Respect. I had a friend who was, regrettably, in an abusive relationship. It was horrible. HE was horrible. He did everything you could imagine and then dumped her like she was the problem. What’s crazy is the next gf was fuckin batshit. While my friend was healing and moving on, she was also realizing just how bad things were and started making positive changes. Meanwhile his new gf was harassing my friend and calling her jealous and needy saying how bad she wanted the shit ex and even tagged my friend in photos of her kissing the abuser with captions reading “all mine” and so on. My friend was rightly disgusted by them both.

This immediately jumped to mind. MGT is the new girl, Drumf is the shit abuser, and dems are my friend. We know him. We see him. This stupid bitch sees it too but *loves* it for some reason. She’s the living embodiment of “pick me”.
