This is so fuckin naive
Are we going to boycott every single product that YouTube advertises and will advertise in the future?
Technically true. But that would mean no youtube in general either.
They will just put on ads for youtube premium.
i never thought a person this stupid could actually physically exist on our planet, wow. i dont even wanna begin explaining how delusional this post is.
Then YouTubers stop making videos entirely because all of their ad revenue goes poof

It’s a great way to get that content creator you don’t like to stop posting because they will have to go get a job. Only downside is that it will be the same for your favourite creator too

I don’t watch YouTube a lot, hardly ever. And when I do (and in general), I don’t pay much attention to ads. So I don’t know what I’m supposed to boycott. And don’t forget that ads are personalized.
They will find ads for literally anything and everything that it will be almost impossible for us to boycott it all and they will be afloat, plus the ads will bee several times worse and likely from foreign countries which will make them all the worse (As in like irrelevant to you and your country as they will be ads for productsa in a country that doesnt sell them in yours).
YouTube in order to avoid going bankrupt make you pay to have an account
Advertisers would still see Youtube’s numbers and advertise with them. Or they’d get even shadier advertisers that they normally turn down and/or those that were turned down for offering less money. Then they’d make those ads more frequent since they aren’t making as much from them. Then they’d advertise Google services more in the commercials as well.
Unfortunately, Youtube doesnt have a Hasan on the platform, so they wont be going anywhere anytime soon.
Youtube is here to stay unless some bigshot decides to take a gamble.

1) I don’t think you and a small group in a meme subreddit could make such a large difference through the “not buying a product” after watching its ad on a platform that supplies videos throughout the world
2)I don’t think YouTube knows what ads you watch and whether or not your buying those after watching that particular ad (different countries have different regional ads even if it’s the same video)
3) you have a significantly higher chance in successfully convincing the ad management people to stop ads rather than starting up this movement lmao
But if we do that they won’t have enough money to hire people to censor videos
