I still cannot comprehend why he was allowed to run. (Except that enough of we the people did not rise up publicly to prevent it). He is constitutionally disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which disqualifies people who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” after taking an oath to support the Constitution. Basically the constitution is now just an old piece of paper in a fancy glass case.
And we didn’t even bother double checking the results, even after he committed multiple felonies to defraud the last election and this time around
said “we don’t need the votes” and “we have a plan”
and had suspiciously uniform voting results
and uncharacteristically said NOTHING all election night instead of his previous nonstop raving
and had republicans sink a bipartisan border deal to impact the election
and committed some more felonies working with Israel to ensure they didn’t make any USA agreement about their Palestine genocide to impact the election
and had republican election officials purge literally hundreds of thousands of almost exclusively democrat voters.
But yeah sure we’re still a democracy and not the newest corrupt third world shithole.

Ngl, I think citizens having the ability to overthrow the government is a good thing, because who else will if the government tries to pull some bullshit and we decide we’re not gonna put up with it anymore?
That is basically the reason the second amendment exists anyways. The founding fathers realized there is a chance our government will try to pull some shit that the people would need to either break away from or straight up overthrow the government for.
