What I’ve seen from Jon Stewart is he takes jabs at both sides. He just wants what is best for the American people and will call out those who go against it, I’m sorry Republicans get talked about the most in this regard.
“Set in his ways” = consistent mindset and integrity. Something MAGA absolutely doesn’t understand. They change daily with the wind, based on the narratives needs.
He won’t go. The first half of Jon’s monologue that day contained a laundry list of ACTUAL wastes of government money. (Ie, subsidies to companies that make billions in profit per year) and Musk would have to twist himself into pretzels to justify not cutting THOSE programs.

Elon is scared because he knows Stewart is more up to date with facts, stats and debate topics than he is. He has no problem going on Rogan because Rogan is a stoned clown, Stewart is a highly intelligent stoned clown.
I tried watching the whole Lemon interview but the guy is an idiot, it was like a pigeon inviting another pigeon to a chess game. With Jon Stewart it would be a whole other matter.

Don’t forget that Jon Stewart is also smarter. Most people are. Elon has almost nothing to do with most of the innovation he’s associated with. Just like the election, those were also simply bought.
He won’t get away with making claims without proof like he does on X. Fact checking is a no-go for his ilk.

He has always been slightly left of center. The problem is that the GOP has moved much further right, so that a slightly left leaning moderate seems further left than they actually are.
Jon would grind Elon into a fine paste. Hes done plenty of interviews with conservative minded people and while in some cases it got mildly hot, Jon is a professional and an amazing interviewer. What Elon wants is to not be challenged, and him walking onto a set into a flood of boos with a very seasoned, very prepared expert bullshit detector waiting for him, of course he won’t agree to that. Coward.
