I am happy to loudly and obnoxiously remind my coworkers that I have surpassed my allotted number of illnesses for the year when they question why I’m hacking up gobs of mucus and phlegm at work.
I’m a nurse and I’ve been burnt out since 2020. Please, stay the F*CK home if you are sick.😭
Exactly this, I don’t get why so many people go out in public these days coughing up a storm, like stay your ass at home ugh
People didn’t learn a single thing from the pandemic. I’ve already been sick twice this winter
I would, but my dad says I’m not sick enough to stay home from school (he is a pediatrician)
I blame the families with kids. They have to go to work and support everyone and they are getting sick because their kid goes to the germ trading zone (daycare) every week collecting a new virus biweekly.
Pretty sure a serious flu can last longer than the amount of PTO many Americans have.
If you’re sick twice or more you are out of luck I guess 🤷♂️
Adults going to work sick I can understand. 90% of the country doesn’t get paid enough to miss work.
But your kids? Fucking keep them home. Unless your kid is a toddler who regularly tries to off themselves as toddlers love to do, they can stand to be alone for a day if they’re not puking their guts out or shitting their pants. Just make them a few sandwiches or a pizza or something and they’ll be fine.
I give a ride to my girls friend and she went to school with fucki g strep throat. Didn’t tell anyone… yeah just get in my car and get us sick too. Comon!
If you are sick and live with family stay the fudge in your room and not in the goddamn living room
