Who would feel awkward about this? I’d just straight up correct them. “Oh, no. This is for me.”

Hell I’m a 52 year old woman and I’ve had every PlayStation console since the first one. I’ve been gaming since I was a small kid when we had an Atari.

🙋🏼♂️ 54 year old me! 😂
I bought my first PlayStation last year in May. Then I gave that to my son when I got the Pro in November. I replaced one of the Xbox-X’s with a PS5 in the game room for my little girl (8). Then I got the two granddaughters a PS5 for Christmas. My daughter got me back into gaming last year after not playing anything for almost 30 years. A couple nights a week and the weekends, we are a Fortnite army! PeePaw is Level 1132 right now! Top 600 in the world, level wise! They created a monster when they convinced me to play! 😂
TBH…Friday and most of Saturday was torture for this little army!

Bought my brother his in release year.
Thought ‘I’ll get one for myself when I’ve spare cash and/or it drops’
5 years later I’m still reading PS5 memes wondering when my PS4 will die.

Is this still a self conscience thing? lol gaming is somehow only for kids? Like anime or chocolate milk? lol you’re an adult and can buy what you like and your hobby is yours. I have two rc cars that are not for kids… I don’t feel judged for having them

I’d be shocked if anyone still genuinely views gaming like this. We ain’t in the 80s – early 2000s anymore, gaming has become so diverse throughout all age groups. We love to see it. ❤️

Most gamers are over the age of 30 anyway lol. We grew up in the golden age of games it makes sense.

Happened to me. Best Buy had them behind the counter on Black Friday, the cashier asked, “do you want to get the fortnight bundle for your kids?”.
I’m 35 and I don’t have any children.

It’s actually way more convenient than building a PC. Just plug and play.
That is what I imagine I would want if my old ass didn’t understand anything about computers

Ha! That’s funny. I’ve never put down a game controller since the very 1st in home systems were released. Intellivision, coleco vision, Genesis I’ve played almost all of them. I’m currently playing my PS5 and yep I’m probably considered too old, but I don’t care! 53 years old, married 33 years with 3 kids. I WILL be gaming until the very end of my life cycle.

Nah I’m almost 40 and the last time I got some gaming related thing the 20-something cashier was like “nice, bro, what you been playing lately?” and we had a quick back and forth about Diablo 4. The ‘games or for kids’ crowd is primarily just a handful of out of touch older folk at this point.
