His speech was spot on.
The man is a legend. Fighting against MAGA Nazi idiots and being generally cool as fuck.
Good for him. If only the Republicans in congress had the balls to stand up to Trump and do the right thing too.
Chris Kluwe has been a pretty rad dude for a long time so far as I can tell. I remember following him on Twitter back in the day. Glad he’s still standing up for what he believes in.
What did they charge him with?

Watch the video. He purposely got arrested through an act of civil disobedience, and announced it at the end of his speech, which was spot on.
It took over four cops to subdue, arrest, and remove him? He was peacefully protesting. He wasn’t even fighting back.

Good on him for giving his speech, but if you watch the video you will see that it was NOT why he was arrested.
He willfully invoked arrest *after his speech was over* by approaching the seated delegates, which is prohibited for safety reasons. (You never know who is going to try to reach them or why.) He did so knowing that anyone who approaches the delegates will be arrested, and that it would spark a media frenzy. He played the system and got exactly what he wanted from this encounter: To speak unimpeded, and then to get a lot of pictures making it appear as if he was arrested for what he said.

The fact they actually gave him the drama of carrying him out tells me a lot about this city and their police. I’ve been at plenty of government meetings where people try to do stufff like this (the silliest I saw was a guy who vehemently opposed repealing the overnight parking ban). The cops always just calmly, patiently waited for them to get up and walk out. People always did. You start to feel silly when you aren’t getting carried out. Often they’d yell more stuff but walk out.
Why was he arrested? Is free speech gone now?
That plaque is going to have a tough life, I almost feel sorry for it.
