By definition an extremist is an individual who holds a fanatical view, typically religious or political.
Fanatical means that they are filled with single-minded zeal.
My thoughts on it are how long is the list? If there are hundreds of millions of people who share the same view then by definitiom those hundreds of millions of people are not extremists. At some point it’s just the public opinion some people are too afraid to voice publically.
But the people planning to storm the capital on January 6th were fine.
