It’s a basket robin

this is the most wholesome use of a basket I’ve ever seen

I thought the zip ties were his legs coming through the basket and he was sitting like a silly li’l guy

She not only saw the problem, but solved it with love. The world is a little better because of her care❤️❤️❤️

**Reeeeeeed** Robin.
*YUMMMMMMMMMMM*

if it still smells like fries there’s gonna be a bird battle royale for that nest.

THIS IS SO WHOLESOME! This made me think about how we can all do our part to help the environment and support wildlife.

I’ve done this before when I was trying to move a baby pigeon. We were moving and the apartment owners were just going to shove the baby off the balcony where its parents had put it. We got a basket, put the ‘nest’* in the basket, and zip-tied it to the cage covering the nearby air con unit.

*There were like… three sticks

I love this

Careful when doing this. You might be helping the birds but if you live in an area with snakes this will bring them in. You often run into snakes near your home where bird nests are.

Hope it’s not near a window. Lice came into our house via a window near a nest, after the occupants had vacated. Horrifying and a pain to delouse a bedroom.

…so where’s the Robin got off to them

Now that’s a homey!

Small actions, big impacts, love this!

verrrry cute

Lil dummy

This is awesome! Love the idea. I’m surprised the bird actually came back after you intervened and placed the basket up there.

Used to have a bird every year do something similar. Right outside our front door. It was fun to see the babies when they hatched.

This made me smile. Now I’m going to get myself a fry basket. 👍

My tendies appear to be a little undercooked.

Don’t do this near your house– if snakes are common in your area. They will introduce themselves.

All for it, 7/10, next time please use white zip ties and trim them.

In a world that puts spikes on ledges drains and everywhere, you are a wonderful person.

I think that robin just upgraded to first-class living.

In exchange for one plastic basket you receive the joy of knowing a little family might start there every spring. Solid trade.

Good human.

That doesn’t look like a Robin.

WOW! So cool of you! 🤩

So kind of you!

We had a malamute (furry amazing dog) that of course shed constantly. We’d always brush her outside and it would look like snow on our back porch with all the hair. I got so much joy and amusement finding bird nests around my house and the neighborhood with her fur in them 😂😂 warmest softest nests ever.

He’s a lil chunky boi.

Bird is like “what, no fries?

How wonderful ❤️ 😊 💖

I will remember this !

That’s what it’s all about, spreading kindness!

It’s a cool idea and wholesome as fuck, but you really couldn’t be bothered to clip the excess on those zipties? Tragic.

…ok? Wild animals don’t need your help. This is just dulling their instincts
