Why did you buy the absolute worst lollipop flavour?

I have severe asthma that is still uncontrolled despite 3 different inhalers, multiple allergy meds, and nebulizer treatments almost daily. I’ve had covid 3 times. I hope the strain you have is mild because covid is so hard with asthma.

If you are able, call a doc and get Paxlovid. I have asthma and have had a really rough time with COVID in the past. I was given Paxlovid last time along with a round of steroids. The pills will make your mouth taste awful for the duration, but taking them with some orange juice helps. Get better soon!

Hope you feel better soon

Hey, fellow asthmatic here! (Used to be severe but Iโ€™ve made some big health changes and gotten it down to moderate.) Iโ€™ve dealt with having COVID multiple times and have some advice:
1. You donโ€™t have to be โ€œscrewedโ€ but you do need to manage your symptoms and condition more than the average person.
2. Whatever tools you have at your disposal, use them. This means inhalers, nebulizer, steroids (I would assume you have all these on hand if you have severe asthma). It can be harder to calm down a bad attack than to prevent it. Keep up with the meds to keep your lungs working as best you can.
3. Donโ€™t hesitate to go in to urgent care or the ER. One of my times with COVID was how I got upgraded to โ€œsevereโ€ and got a nebulizer. I also finally got referred to the pulmonologist who has been incredible at helping manage my disease.
4. If you donโ€™t have one, order a pulse ox to check your oxygen levels. When you are struggling to breathe itโ€™s really scary and knowing if you are oxygenating properly can calm nerves (or be your motivation to head into the ER).

Itโ€™s going to suck but you can get through this. The current variants seem less severe than prior ones. Each strain Iโ€™ve gotten has affected my lungs less, so Iโ€™m hopeful you wonโ€™t have too bad a time.

If you stop taking Covid tests, you stop getting covid.

Covid lollipop ๐Ÿ˜‚

Its a girl!

Everyone who wants a peaceful holiday should screen shot this pic for their own use.

My partner has horrible asthma too and had it 3 times with few issues. It may not be as bad as you think. If you start feeling tightness in your chest call the doc for steroids ASAP. Feel better!!

Social media …… even Reddit now is just so toxic. OP: Hope you handle it all OK. There’s a decent chance you’ll not be too badly affected.

Merry Christmas; happy holidays.

I didn’t get covid for years until this year and my lung capacity went down since then.

Feel better soon

I’ve got it since last sunday, so day 8 now. Every day I wake up with new symptoms and I’m nowhere near being healthy yet.

Fuck my life.

I was coughing my lungs out with Covid as a healthy person. I canโ€™t imagine the asthma Covid combo. Hope you get well soon

Itโ€™s amazing to me the number of people who think vaccines and medications donโ€™t have adverse reactions. Folks, you do realize that vaccines are not intended to prevent the actual illness right? But to keep you from dying and from ending up in the hospital ? And to keep folks who are immunocompromised who may not be eligible for the vaccine from also dying and ending up in the hospital, assuming a good number of us are vaccinated. Oh man, I see critical thinking isnโ€™t a fan favourite for some of yโ€™all.

The last time I posted one of these on Christmas 2022 I got downvoted and called an idiot because it was โ€œoverโ€ and โ€œwho cares?โ€

I hope you feel better soon op and that itโ€™s a light case.

Yeah I hear you friend. My 5 year old, my wife, and I all have strep and RSV. We picked it up a few days ago at a birthday party for one of my sonโ€™s friends.

Well that sucks, I hope it’s mild. I got it for Thanksgiving and I’m still mad about it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Your COVID is pregnant

I feel your pain. I made it 4 years and 4 months until I got my first case. I was pissed.

If this is real, and you just tested positive, ask your doc for Paxlovid. Knocks it out in a few days and is helpful for asthmatics not to get worse. Iโ€™ve had it for that reason.

Iโ€™m so sorry. I missed Christmas and my Dads 70th last year because of Covid. If you have any support please use it, ask for food and meds to be delivered. Anything you need help with, including mental support. Itโ€™s so hard and most people just ask what they can do and we hate being a burden. Be the โ€œburdenโ€ because we need help and people truly do want to help.

This year I got a sinus infection like three days ago and am still struggling.

Lifelong asthmatic. People donโ€™t understand how much harder it is for us. Healing takes so much longer and feels so much worse and I donโ€™t feel like we get the sympathy. ๐Ÿซ‚ Feel better friend.

Oh my gosh, Iโ€™m so sorry. Hang in there. You need to go to the doctor and get paxlovid and then you need to up your C & D3 and B12 and drink lots of chicken bone broth. Hydrate and rest.ย

Paxlovid is pretty amazing if you can get it! My boyfriend is also sick this year. There is a lot going around. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh no – pregnant.

I know the feeling. This was yesterday

I really wish people would remember that the vaccine was designed to prevent you from dying from the PNEUMONIA IT FUCKING CAUSES, not that you WON’T GET THE VIRUS.

People seriously think they won’t get the virus AT ALL because they are vaccinated. I’m vaccinated too BUT I worked in the medical field for years. First time I had it the pneumonia almost killed me,at the very beginning of it. I’ve had mild cases since of the virus…..no fucking covid pneumonia-strain again that took me 10 weeks of coughing to clear.

Vaccine doesn’t always equal “cure” people.

Holy shit this thread is ignorant

That sucks. I had a bad time of with it this year. You good? You need anything?

Monitor your blood oxygen levels if you can. I have asthma also and back to back influenza B and COVID gave me bad lung scarring. Now I get to carry an oxygen tank around and sleep with oxygen. ๐Ÿ™ƒ I hope it’s mild and you feel better soon.

Paxlovid is a miracle drug. Get ASAP if you can afford/have insurance. Cuts sick time down dramatically.

I’m so so sorry. Do you have meds and someone who can bring you hot tea or something? I hope it’s a really mild case a day you get better fast. I’m asthmatic too and this shit was terrible when I got it 2 years ago. Take care of yourselfย

My entire family had COVID when we brought my daughter back home a year ago. She was 4 days old on Xmas eve when we all tested positive. Couldn’t see anyone for the holidays. Was fucking miserable.

Hey, not sure if you’ll read this or not but I’m really sorry about all these people on here that are insulting you. Crazy to me how uneducated and ignorant so many people are. Many people say things like “well COVID didn’t effect me” and just assume that it acts the same for everyone that gets it when in reality it’s different for everyone depending on your immune system or what strain you get. Also people seem to think that vaccines either cause long COVID or that they work well. When in reality neither of those statements are right ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Long COVID is a big issue and people just blame it on other things and think it’s “the common cold” lol. I hope that you recover well and that it’s not that hard on you this time <3

Fuck. Iโ€™m sorry. I hope itโ€™s not a bad round.

No kidding. Ugh get Paxlovid ~ I waited too long to get help & this new strain sent me into hell. Just now better after 8-20, attacked my joints & couldnโ€™t walk. Went to pneumonia and sinus infection. Feel better soon, no Mucinex per my Dr.

I think that response is most appropriate. Hope it doesn’t hit you too hard.

These comments LMFAO, who let the twitter users out of their echochamber.

I’m sorry. I hope it passes very quickly for you.
