There’s nothing less helpful than a comment like that. They might has well be pushing you under the water.
Nothing more annoying than being the ONLY ONE that has a problem.
Even worse when it turns out it’s basic user error, since it makes you feel like an idiot. I can affirm this because I’ve been there more times than I should have.
Honestly I prefer when people say “I’m having the same problem” sure it doesn’t add much, but it’s at least a little more sympathetic than informing people you don’t have this problem. The most unhelpful, self-absorbed thing you can add to a post about someone asking for help.Â
“I have a problem”
“I don’t”
“Well whoop dee fucking doo. Good for you I guess.”
The worst is when the op finds the solution and just says “Okay, fixed it” with no explanation
