Which is a reasonable thing to say tho. Me being 24/7 in my house will notice any dust particle or anything out of place. So it’s a mess to me but not for someone who comes and goes.

I usually say it as a preemptive excuse in case someone notices anything out of place or a bit of dirt. It’s not really justifiable, but it helps if they spot some dust or unfolded clothes. Like, ‘I already warned you it might be a mess.’. Gives me peace of mind
