They hate it because is popular, some expect memes to be some sort of art that must follow certain rules and requisites and the moment a meme doesn’t follow their strict ruleset, they go mad.
I am sure is the same people hating the new Reddit logo, lots of free time and desperation to find something they call “a meaningfull fight” to join with little to no effort on it.
Honestly, I don’t get the hate either. What’s so terrible about promoting people being more chill. Judging by the backlash, it seems sorely needed.

The people who hate the meme just don’t understand how memes work. The memes of the early 2000’s were dumb things someone said or a silly picture that people back then found funny and spread it around. The same thing is happening with this Chill Guy meme. People find it funny and it’s being spread around. Idk why the people who hate this meme are surprised.
