jk rowling gives very racist/stereotypical names to minorities
Anthony goldstein
Cho chang (which isn’t a real name, she just wrote something which sounds chinese)
Kingsley shacklebolt for the black guy
The joke is that if she could, she would have named the irish character the most stereotypical irish thing in existance (and she made seamus finnigan, the irish wizard blow things up when he tried making alcohol)

Hour Action has most of them, but the worst one is the only black character in the series being called Kingsley SHACKLEBOLT

JK Rowling is known for giving characters of different ethnic backgrounds very stereotypical names (Cho Chang, Seamus Finnigan, Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour)
This is jokingly making a stereotypical name for an Irish character referencing the Potato Famine, a period of mass starvation and disease in Ireland lasting from 1845 to 1852, as well as the cocktail the Irish Carbomb.

Long story short there’s problems with some of the characters in Harry Potter that people only seemed to care about after some basement dwellers got pissed off at JK Rowling.

She is incredibly bad at creating non British names and often they border on being stereotypical.
Like Cho Chang for example.

JK Rowling is known for giving her characters stereotypical names based on race/ethnicity. An example is a tweet she made a while ago, announcing a Jewish wizard named “Anthony Goldstein”…
In reference to that, the name comes from the Irish Potato Famine, and what I believe to be a reference to “The Troubles”, which was a conflict in Northern Ireland. The conflict was violent, and the most infamous form of violence, as you guessed, were car bombs.

Every non-white culture on earth uses stereotypical white names for white people in their entertainment media.
But it’s only racist when white people do the same thing.
