I think he wanted to get caught, rolling around with a backpack full of evidence, eating out instead of going to ground and lying low for a few weeks. I think he has something to say.

Let’s take into consideration the facts:
* Luigi Mangione is an Ivy League graduate with multiple degrees and a 130+ IQ.
* A week after the death of Brian Thompson, he brings the murder weapon, fake ID he used to get around, and a written manifesto on how horrible the American health care system is to a McDonald’s where he is identified by the cashier after he sits down.
* He stays on-site working on his laptop and sitting there with the ghost gun and suppressor he made himself.
Luigi Mangione acted as if he wanted to get caught with everything needed for a speedy trial and a guilty verdict. If he was the killer and he truly wanted to get caught, then why didn’t he surrender himself immediately? Things seem fishy here.

So, im not saying this is a slam dunk answer and would convict him or make him guilty, but, those security cameras use digital compression and compress the fuck out of the footage to save storage space.
One aspect of compression like MP4, is temporal and spatial compression. What the algorithm for trying to make a file size smaller will do, is look around in the frame of the video, and try and figure out if things are “different enough” to warrant storing as data. So the footage is broken up into blocks and then the computer in realtime determines whether things from one block to another are different enough to store as unique data. If not, it will just basically store math saying “copy and paste the same shit over and over again from the blocks beside this block”. So like an all black background isnt stored as black in each block, its stored as 1 block, thats copied and pasted 100s of times.
What COULD have happened here is the video compression could have seen the suspects skin, seen the blurry eyebrows and said “eh, this doesn’t meet my standards of difference to store as unique data, just copy and paste the skin tone around this area into these blocks.”
Thats why the area above the nosse looks kind of “samey” and without detail.
Again, not saying this is the case, but that is often what happens with low quality footage.

whoever the shooter was has enough prior gun experience to handle a jammed weapon in a timely fashion but not enough to know their gun jams with the supressor and those loads and not enough to know local gun laws? maybe he practiced shooting and knew to clear jams? wtf.
whoever they were they were smart enough to track a ceo and his routine from another state? this is mad if you ask me. no way he was walking around with a guilty verdict in a backpack after completing such a difficult task in broad fcking daylight 5 days prior. he wasnt on any lists but some bozo from a fast food joint calls the cops idk. the math isnt mathing.
AND who in their right mind can make an ID from the crimestoppers photo from a different state 230 miles away. ” i swear i jus surv him hambagahs”
I do not think it is the same guy either for now anyway.

If he’s working with someone else, it would be a masterstroke. Person A performs the murder, flees. Hands over the gun, clothing, and etc to his accomplice (LM). LM then hangs out in a public space waiting to be arrested. The twist: LM has an ironclad alibi that won’t show up for a few weeks. So LM hangs out in jail, while Person A has weeks to vanish. Once Person A is in the wind, plastic surgeried etc, LM releases the evidence of his alibi, and is released (probably subsequently arrested for obstruction, but lmao good luck)

I’m pretty sure they have a mentally unwell copycat. They haven’t explained how we got to Atlanta to get on a bus yet. The images don’t relieve match up. Anyone who went through that amount of effort and avoided getting caught for that long. Is not going to be found with the weapon on them their fake IDs and their manifesto. I know there are people out there saying he wanted to get caught and that’s why he had the stuff on them. It just doesn’t sit right I imagine if they were going to do that They would have sent copies of their manifesto to news outlets and would have disposed of the rest of the evidence or brought it with them and turned themselves into the police department immediately. I will not be surprised if they find evidence that he is not the guilty party within the next couple of weeks at which point good luck on the rest of the investigation and they’re going to have to tell the American public that or lose their case.
