Is there even a point? These people don’t listen.

Is that a real post?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_inventions_in_the_medieval_Islamic_world

Obviously none of the people that should read this will (since reddit is an echo chamber) but whatever

Then you have to make them understand why that is significant. That’s a losing battle.

Not even a real post. Bait.

I mean the Arabic world used to be leading in technology and science. Sad they lost their way to conflict and religious extremism.

Edit: I know the western nations had something to do with the state the middle east and central Asia are in today. They were colonized and wars were instigated by the western nations.

But I would probably say something similar about the US right now. We are watching live as the US empire begins to crumble. And because of what? Americans rather vote for the facists who pander to religious extremists than for stability.

In the Arab world in the middle east but also in central Asia Islam will continue to hinder progress in the way it’s culturally perpetuated right now.

Contrary to popular belief, they do teach about Muslim and Arab inventions in U.S. schools, at least they did when I was in school. The reason Europe learned about things like Algebra, clocks, and Arabic numerals is probably the crusades.

Wasn’t that the Persians? Who were yet to be converted?

Surgical tools like syringes, forceps, bone saws, first university that grants degrees, camera and mechanism that is still in use in high end cameras to just name a few. She is truly an idiot.

* FYI…. Algebra predates Islam by nearly 2000 years…

Muslims did not “invent” Algebra.

For those curious, the ‘Father of Algebra’ title tends to be given to either Diophantus of Alexandria or Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi. Though algebraic concepts existed before either of them, al-Khwarizmi’s work *Al-Jabr* was the first to teach it on its own, and the title also is the origin of the word “algebra” itself.

Muslims didn’t invent algebra though.

Golden age of Islam gave us so much
1. Astronomy

• Astrolabe Enhancements: Improved versions of the astrolabe, used for navigation and locating celestial bodies.

• Celestial Globes: Accurate representations of the stars for astronomical calculations.

• Observatories: The establishment of observatories like the one in Baghdad under Al-Ma’mun.

2. Medicine

• Surgical Tools: Al-Zahrawi (Abu al-Qasim) developed and described numerous surgical instruments still recognizable today.

• Hospitals (Bimaristans): Organized hospitals with separate wards for different illnesses, advanced surgical procedures, and systematic medical care.

• Canon of Medicine: Avicenna (Ibn Sina)’s Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb, a comprehensive medical encyclopedia that became a reference in both the Islamic world and Europe.

3. Mathematics

• Algebra: Al-Khwarizmi’s foundational work on algebra (Al-Kitab al-Mukhtasar fi Hisab al-Jabr wal-Muqabala).

• Arabic Numerals: Adoption and refinement of Indian numerals, including the concept of zero, which later spread to Europe.

• Decimal Point System: Advancements in arithmetic and numerical calculations.

4. Optics

• Camera Obscura: Ibn al-Haytham’s studies on light and vision laid the groundwork for modern optics and the invention of the camera.

• Lenses and Refraction: Detailed work on how light bends and passes through transparent objects.

5. Engineering and Technology

• Crankshaft and Water-Raising Machines: Al-Jazari described mechanical devices like automated clocks, water-raising machines, and early forms of robotics.

• Automatic Devices: Early examples of programmable machines, including water clocks and automata

• Windmills: Utilized for grinding grain and pumping water in arid regions.

6. Chemistry

• Distillation Processes: Al-Razi refined distillation techniques and identified numerous chemical compounds.

• Soap Making: Production of hard soap with perfumes and essential oils.

• Alchemy Foundations: Experiments that laid the groundwork for modern chemistry.

7. Agriculture

• Irrigation Systems: Advanced irrigation techniques using canals, norias, and qanats.

• Crop Rotation and Soil Management: Introduced advanced agricultural practices and new crops to different regions.

8. Cartography and Geography

• Detailed Maps: Al-Idrisi created one of the most accurate maps of the medieval world.

• Travel Literature: Ibn Battuta’s extensive travel writings provided insight into the known world.

9. Literature and Libraries

• Paper Mills: The Islamic world improved Chinese papermaking methods, leading to widespread use of paper.

• Libraries: Establishment of vast libraries like the House of Wisdom in Baghdad.

Just to emphasize the stupidity. Algebra is used to create Algorithms, without algorithms, there are no computers… Pretty much anything that’s name starts with “AL” was made by a Muslim since AL is the Arabic word for “The”

Muslims did NOT invent Algebra.  Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi is a Persian and the father of algebra.

He was a polymath and accomplished alot in his life. He was only Muslim due to the Islamic conquest of Persia and he discovered alot of things before that!

Alot of the scientific, mathematical, artistic, and literary works known today are by people who were not originally Muslim and were later forced to convert.

Please stop appropriating discoveries made by individuals to a religious/political venture. Religion has destroyed alot of rich cultures and heritage in many countries.

We must attriibute And credit discoveries to the people that made them not because of their religious identity.

🤕 … he’s good at convincing stupid people

How Trump was able to win support from many Muslim voters in Michigan

What have the Romans ever done for us?

Uh. A lot of early medical discoveries happened in the Muslim world. Until fundamentalism destroyed knowledge.

What does the little mermaid wear to her math class?

What’s one thing ivanka trump invented that changed the world? Same question for the dumbass running this account. Just cause you live in a country where things were invented or because you have the same skin color of other famous inventors doesn’t give you any claim whatsoever to what they’ve done.

Are they trying to somehow justify the hate? “I was just asking questions”.

Actually the Egyptians may have invented algebra.
