A mass email got sent out to us all last week stating that anyone with a history of gender dysphoria in their medical record is “strongly advised to begin the voluntary separation process”, it went on to say that they *May* (bold and italicized in the email) be eligible to recieve the increased voluntary separation pay, as opposed to involuntary separation pay.

45 years ago was 1980. He came out in 1992 and says they clawed back his scholarship. He would have been 12 in 1992. Maybe he was like Doogie Howser or something.
There was a thing during the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy enacted under Clinton. Folks would claim to be gay in order to facilitate a discharge. Sometimes they would do so after receiving educational opportunities. In those situations of course the military attempted to recoup the resources used.
Not saying that was what this person did but I did know someone that thought they could get a free degree that way.
