I think it’s proportionally less sympathy. Makes sense.
The submarine group did a dumb thing and (mostly) hurt themselves. I do feel for the young guy who went with his dad despite being afraid.
Health insurance execs hurt other people every day. It’s the biggest part of their job. Implementing policies and strategies to deny coverage and ultimately obtain more money.
This guy in particular has more indirect kills than some active militaries. Fuck him. Fuck his wife for marrying him. The kids get a mild sympathy pass with the acknowledgement that they’re better off in the long term.

Yeah people really seem to have no sympathy for billionaires dying horrible deaths. How interesting and totally unanticipated.

The thing is, they will all start buying private security forces and look who is in power. Billionaires. What type of legislation will they create to protect themselves & their brethren from us? This is a bad time for us to be moving towards an oligarchy.

I have been saying for the past year now, we are all one small step away from becoming an extremist. Setting yourself on fire, shooting an corporate big-wig, not eating; it does not matter what your extreme action is, as long as it is heard, and heard loudly. How many of us are getting pushed to that point, day after day. Our bosses up our asses, our neighbors bitching non-stop. The Politicians in the U.S. have failed We the People, they have failed people of other Nations as well.
People tried to kneel to make their point, people tried to peacefully protest to make their point, people tried taking over City blocks to make their point, and still no one listened.
What is your limit? What are you willing to take before an extreme action seems like your only recourse?
I only hope someone listens, and something changes, before shit gets out of hand.
Be safe out there.

The media’s response to these two differs greatly tho. Media was eating up the Oceangate coverage, but it is trying to get the vigilante coverage out of news cycle the next day. I wonder why

The absolute hypocrisy of the law enforcement system is on full show right now, too. If they put this much effort into other murders, the USA would be one of the safest countries in the world.
But no, you just have to be rich, I guess.

The interesting part of this is how will big business react. They will either add security to executive compensation, or improve the balance and realize they’re not just working for shareholder value. I’ve got a pretty good idea which way they will go.
