If your website does this. I’m not disabling my adblock, I’m just leaving.

100%. There is no content out there I can’t find somewhere else *without* an ad-blocker.

I’d also add that the “conflicts with our site” is WAY worse with the ad-blocker *off* as pop-ups, ads and scams just flood the UI making most of these sites impossible to use.

“Ads help us maintaining our site!” proceeds to invade the whole screen with a scam or, in the best cases, some nsfw

I’m editing the DOM and removing your fucking overlay

en garde

Stop putting six different ads with auto playing video and covering up the article and following the scroll box and maybe Iโ€™ll stop blocking ads. And get rid of all those junk ads at the bottom of the page which look like the back pages of the National Inquirer.

If you can’t handle me when ad blocker is detected, then you can’t handle me without ad blocker detected.

Once this message comes, I close the tab/website.

Some sites like these and news ones that have a paywall can have that shit disabled with a javascript on/off button addon.

Sometimes you can just block the anti adblocker with your adblocker and the site works just fine after too.

But ya, if I cant get around it, ill just go somewhere else

For some reason YouTube says I have an ad blocker and refuses to play videos so I just use freetube instead. I don’t have an ad blocker but I’m not hopping through their hoops just to fix it.

These days every website is like:

>*Can we have your cookies*
**no**

>*Disable Addblock*
**no**

>*Sign up for our newsletter*
**no**

*15% of your first order if you login with google*
**no**

Just sell me shit without trying to sell my data with it

Same!

# Developers hate this one trick!

Thatโ€™s sort of the point. ย If youโ€™re preventing them from generating any revenue they donโ€™t want to serve you. ย Though theyโ€™d be smart to offer a small subscription based alternative to ads. ย

Navigating the internet without an adblocker is like going to an orgy without condoms. Just asking for it.

Theyโ€™re probably ok with that

Use ublock origin, it is very good at bypassing these checks, especially with firefox

Just setup and use Pihole. No ads on the network unless they’re baked into the content. If I get a sign up request or a paywall I’m gone. I tend to also blacklist sites that lock articles behind pay walls.

I use noscript to get around these and paywalls

What you don’t understand is that the website doesn’t want you as a visitor if you can’t see ads. You’re just causing costs. Your visit must be cross-financed by everyone else.

I can’t view the post it’s saying i have ad blocker but I dont

Right click, block element…

I usually switch to a secondary browser that doesn’t allow JavaScript for things like his

Lmao same. I had this exact “warning” poped up while browsed something. I turned off my adblocker just to found out that the ads who “helps them maintaining this website” blocking 95% of the contents of the website ๐Ÿ˜‚

There is another website that does exactly the same thing yours does, only less annoying.

>Someone that costs their website money doesn’t want to use their site

You not using their site is a win for them.

What sites donโ€™t understand is if they made ads less annoying and intrusive we wouldnโ€™t need ad blockers. But no one wants to use just simple banner ads on the top and sides of the article.

Shut yer pi hole

Yyyep, adverts make me less likely to buy your product. If I end up needing it I go out of my way to purchase from your competition. Your ads are annoying

It’s almost impossible to navigate without an adblocker. I tried with my phone for a few days and it was so tiring, like it was done to frustrate the heck out of anyone. Same happens with cookie selection
