This is permanent? I figured it was a temporary thing
It’s not necessarily about “minimalism bad”. It’s that they’re taking good logos that are beautiful and iconic and making them way too shite. Can also be that they turn good minimalist logos into bad cluttered ones.
We don’t necessarily hate minimalism, we hate bad logos and replacement of iconic logos. Also, we Hate change, at least I do.
It’s not about “3D logos”, it’s about putting a fucking banana on the Reddit’s mascot to replace its antenna
basically, people don’t actually care about designs, they just don’t like change that nobody asked for
I don’t even understand why people care that much about the design of their logo, outside of things being hateful doesn’t really matter. You don’t use a product because the logo. I’ve never enjoyed a beverage and was like oh man it was because of the logo. things like this are just something for people to gripe about just to I guess

If you have a beloved style, it’s expected to be protected as it is as long as it’s needed. Like how you would react with a “WTF?” if someone offered you mushy, wet lumps of doritos. Crisp was the way but some genious decided it would be better if they soaked it in, then serve it. They changed the original for no reason, and with a shitty one at that. That’s it.

The new Reddit logo is decent, would be better without the McDonalds fries on the head for some inexplicable reason

OK, so I just realized that’s a pixelated banana and not some weird box.
That’s why the logo sucks. Why the Minecraft banana? Why not a regular banana? Or, and call me crazy, *no* banana?

Reducing a minimalist design to even minimal was terrible, especially since there’s now an eye brows that didn’t exist in place of hair or even a head shape.
Reddit one…. Why did they have to add a smirk and whatever it is sticking on it’s head? Ppl prolly would complain a lot less if it was the same image in 3D without light reflection in the eyes
