In Home Alone 2 (1992), Kevin gifts the homeless lady that saves his life a worthless ornament whilst spending $967.43 on self-indulgent room service. This is because he’s from a shitty 1% family that doesn’t appreciate the value of money.
His friendship with the next potus made this pretty clear

Can you believe that part was played by Academy Award winner Brenda Fricker?

His dad seemed pretty outraged at the room service bill. You could hear him through the building and across the park. (Windows were closed)

The McAllister’s were never the 1%. They just lived in the 80s when yuppies got big wages, homes were cheap and huge amounts of credit was possible.
If that’s what people think the 1% is then the real 1% have already won because we’re still squabbling amongst our pleasant selves.

ol man Duncan suggested the doves because one of them had a broken wing tip and nobody was buying that shit. You notice it when he takes them off the tree and hands them to Kevin.
Kevin gives her the one with the broken wing tip because he doesn’t really care about her, he just didn’t want a broken dove.

His family was just MIDDLE CLASS!!!
Our middle class is almost gone now though, the true 1% has taken all the wealth. Now you have mostly ultra wealthy or poor!

He didn’t have any money. He’s a kid and it was charged to what would amount to an imaginary account because he’s a kid and doesn’t understand money.
The ornament was extremely thoughtful because it was a bird and meant more to the lady than money would have because it meant someone took the time to give a shit about her at all.
Your take on a bit of actual humanity in this movie is shit.

Also the way the rest behave in their hotel in France gives very “Irish American rabid catholic Youth Defence funders” vibes.

Why is no one talking about the complete lack of security at the symphony hall?

God I hate those films
She wasn’t homeless, she lived in the theater. Posts like these makes you sound poor and jealous. Have fun being a hater, I guess. hahahaha
That’s what kids do, they make a thing and that’s your gift lol.
Or he just doesn’t like Piers Morgan.
This sub. Always make me laugh 😂
Believe it or not that family was considered middle class at the time the movie was made
Maybe on the upper end of middle, but still middle
he was only 10 years old lol
