For real, though, that’s scary. I hope the meds you mentioned help out. Weird question- does it affect your vision in a noticeable way? Like, does something happen to your vision that makes you think “ah shit, the butterflies back,” or do you not notice until you see yourself in a mirror?

Eye pain SUCKS. Feeling stuff wrong with a limb is one thing, but when it’s by your mind/part of your existence system, it’s a whole other ball game. You cannot stop thinking about it and you are rendered dysfunctional. That sucks sooo bad OP you had to deal with that until you could be seen and then repeatedly after. That had to have been so freaking stressful.

I had something happen with my eye a couple months ago and after spending two days thinking it was just going to go away, I managed to get into an eye doctor quickly. After an examination and telling me that I just had a really bad scratch, he put a couple drops in it and my pain almost immediately subsided. I asked him if I could get a prescription of whatever that was because it had ended days of extreme suffering, he said he wished he could because he knows how much better it felt and he feels horrible he cannot give me any because it was in office use only because it contained **cocaine.**

A year before my idiot estranged mother who is a nurse practitioner had some minor eye irritation and used some stuff that her office had and she told me that she had taken some of it home even though she wasn’t supposed to and that she was using it more frequently than suggested but that it only lasted about 20 minutes so she needed to.
She then began to have other MAJOR vision issues after the initial minor irritation had occurred.

As soon as my eye doctor told me what he had put in my eye, I realized exactly what my mom had done to herself the year before. She had taken cocaine solution home from her medical office and overused it.

My mom made herself start going blind because she put too much cocaine in her eye. She had had so many appointments with specialist to try to figure out what was going on and how to fix it. She apparently never admitted to any of them what she had done. She is an idiot POS who always acts like she knows better than everyone else and had decided that her increased frequency of use of this medication was justified because of audacity and entitlement. The worst part is if she didn’t even know what it was she was putting in her eye, the bottle didn’t say the word cocaine. There was obviously a reason it said not to use it as frequently as she was, and I guess technically there could be some circumstances where you could modify medication suggestions within a reasonable amount and not risk such a horrible outcome, but NOPE she didn’t even bother to look up what the medication actually was to even begin to make an educated assessment about its use.

She still has issues with her eye and is on some really expensive meds for it forever. I did end up telling her that what she had was cocaine and she did it to herself and of course I got screamed at.

Did you by any chance kill someone you loved before that happened? Just asking for a clan member

I’m positive you were in incredible pain, but this looks so cool! I had something similar happen before I got diagnosed but it wasn’t an actual shape, just super wonky. Glad you’re better now!!
