Hope she’s safe

When I was at school here in England, more than 40 years ago now, a good friend had his Iranian grandma come and live with him.

She was amazing. She’d had to leave Iran because she’d kicked up a fuss and flatly refused to have a picture of Ayatollah Khomenei in her house. Absolutely refused.

She was blind.

She and her daughter, my friend’s Mum, were both highly trained specialist nurses in their day and had to leave due to the change of regime.

Those women were amazing and I love and respect them both to this day.

Iran threw its amazing women away, Afghanistan is doing the same and so is Trump’s America.

She’s gorgeous, wtf!

I’m observing and I’m liking.

Iranian men would probably be less uptight if they let these beautiful women actually show their faces.

I hope she’s safe.

I honestly feel bad for the women in the Islamic faith. I was friends with a Muslim woman for a few years before we grew apart. She had to keep our friendship a secret from her brothers and her dad. Her mom knew about our friendship, but she told me that her dad and brothers would not be happy that she was friends with a guy and that they could never know. I respected her faith, but I always felt bad that she was that scared of her father and her brother finding out. On top of the whole fasting during Ramadan. I get abstaining from food, but abstaining from fluid all day seems incredibly dangerous. I’m not trying to demen the Islam faith. I respect their beliefs, and traditions, but at the same time, at least to me, it seems a little barbaric.

Now that I look again, I suppose there is a poster as well.

Iranian here. Reddit is always shocked by how attractive Iranian women are. You can see that surprise every time that one particular image of the Iranian women goes viral on Reddit. It’s always “wow I didn’t know they looked like that”. I feel like people think Iranian women look like Zack Snyder’s depiction of the Persian ‘Immortal’ soldiers in the ‘300’ movie when their masks get ripped off.

You guys should know that there are tons of Iranian women who look like this in Australia alone. Everyone here knows that Iranian women put a lot of work and effort into maintaining appearances. You’re very unlikely to see Iranian women going around looking or dressing like “slobs”. Gym/active-wear or yoga pants is about as casual as you’ll see them. A lot of Iranian women here carry themselves very pridefully and that may be misconstrued as “rich girl arrogance”, even though there can be a lot of that too. A lot of Iranian women carry themselves the same way. A good looking Iranian woman in her 20-40s is likely to be the most “exotic”-looking person at any gathering here amongst other ethnicities and they usually carry themselves knowing they’re “hot shit” and that most guys at a club probably wants them.

Also, the trendy Kardashian-esque appearance is very “Iranian/Lebanese woman in Australia”, as in hair, makeup, and bubblebutt. Same goes for a lot of Los Angeles-based Iranians, arguably the home of hot Iranian women. You’re very rarely ever going to see an Iranian tomboy, for example, or one with coloured hair and facial piercings, even if born and raised in a Western country.

Oh, and nosejobs. Yeah.
