So we spend $100 billion more on Canadian products than they spend on US products. That’s not subsidies, that’s commerce. When I buy groceries, I don’t call it “subsidizing the grocery store”.

Meanwhile I have government clients in Canada telling me they are preparing to end our 20-year software contract and stop doing business with U.S. vendors because the new administration brings too much risk. Trump thinks this tactic will bring Canada to the table to get a better deal for all. What I am seeing is very far from that; with government agencies pursuing Canadian tech instead.
