Not to be too pedantic but he wasn’t elected chairman—he fired the entire board and then appointed himself chairman.

Trump and Musk will try to tear down institutions but no matter how hard they try, they’ll never have control over the culture. Artists and creatives will never embrace that side in full effect no matter how desperately they want to control it

I get this is relatively low on the list of the Trump/Musk administration’s crimes, but as someone who lives in DC this is so devastating. 🙁 I love the Kennedy Center, even got engaged on the terrace there. It’s such a meaningful place for the arts and I just fucking hate that he’s gone and ruined this too.
