The health care INDUSTRY is so messed up that people literally cheer when one of its leaders gets murdered execution style. But this is where we’re at. A real conversation needed to be had decades ago. That didn’t happen so here we are…
I’m sure thoughts and prayers will be entirely sufficient
But killing people in their hospital beds is justifiable, with no personal risk but tremendous monetary rewards…
The way insurance companies justify not covering medical treatments that their customers pay them to cover? There are more ways to kill a person than a gun.
Maybe, just maybe, people aren’t cheering the assassination *per se* they’re cheering the sense that someone is finally doing *something* about the death-for profit regime that is American “health” care.
If they don’t want this to keep happening, they can bloody well regulate their way out of it, but they refuse because that’s where their campaign donations come from.

It’s funny to see that for the first time the wealthy are thinking what regular people are thinking when they hear about the cops shooting somebody: “That could have been me.” And it’s freaking them out. Finally realising that all that money doesn’t make them untouchable.

Nobody should be shot and killed. But im not gonna cry or feel any different than i do to every other shooting (except when children are involved), it just happens too often to have any bigger reactions then a “oh, thats unfortunate, feel bad for the family” and then move on with life

What if we’re already in hell?
Whether it’s a denied claim, a pedophile molesting one’s children, a serial rapist….the victims are already in hell. The latter two sometimes can get justice through the system, but the system protects the first.
The hell also comes when corporate behavior or government impotence makes vigilantism defensible or people neutral about it.
Even General Eisenhower slow-walked investigations of US Army soldiers gunning down Nazi POWs at Dachau or walking away and letting the inmates do what they wished with the guards.

I understand that nobody has sympathy for the CEO that was murdered, but “we shouldn’t celebrate the vigilante murder of a person without any involvement of the justice system, even if that person is evil” should not be a surprising or controversial take, even if you don’t agree with it.
