All too true.

Right around 2017 or 2018 some assholes here were putting signs up saying “It’s Okay to Be White.” They snuck one up on the back of a stop sign near the UU church where we had our Tuesday game at the time. They knew they put it there on purpose, the text was even in this super thin font so you had to get up close to see it. I tore it down and let the church know about it so they could watch for replacements.

They know what they’re doing with this, the “All Lives Matter” thing. The best explanation I ever saw was comparing it to other disasters and tragedies. After the Boston Marathon bombing it was “Boston Strong”, not “Other Cities Are Great Also.” After a hurricane or tornado we focus on the survivors and their community, we don’t bring up others that have also suffered. Slogans like “Black Lives Matter” are there to highlight people in need of empathy and aid; they’re not ignoring others. It’s utterly disingenuous to act otherwise.

The Blues Brothers showed us the best way to deal with Nazis.

It’s really sad that half of the US really voted to see more of this. I’d say we get what we deserve but it’s the most vulnerable who are going to suffer.

It’s just really sad to see the flaws in democracy get exploited in such fashion – it really is a country populated and ruled by the apathetic

America’s spent too long at the top and gotten too comfortable. They were the first to get their shit together, but now, many places in Asia are catching up

I legitimately had a member of my family tell me “I think the LGBT community should cut out the T part. Most people don’t have a problem with the gays”…🤦

It’s more pathetic when they cry and say people are choosing family over politics when people don’t want to be around an asshole who voted against their rights and thinks thoes people are lesser being for distancing themselves in the same breath.

There is a german talking show on YT called “13 Questions”. During the show 3 people on each side discuss as representer of a group. And at the end they have to come to a compromise.

So there was an episode about toxic masculinity. Some open minded leftys vs some far rights and a Tate fanboy… When they we’re supposed to find a compromise the leftys didnt had a better idea than to say: “Women are equal humans. Can we agree on that?” and the far right guys didnt agree…
