Great photo. When I worked at Signal Mountain Lodge this was my favorite lake to visit on my day off. I was luck enough to see several elk there one morning getting a drink.

Accessing the Lake

To reach Little String Lake, you’ll need to venture off the beaten path. From the Moose Visitor Center, follow the String Lake Road (US-26) westbound for approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto a dirt road marked as "Little String Lake" and continue for about 2 miles until you reach the lake’s shore. Be prepared for a 4-mile round-trip hike from the parking lot, as the road becomes a dirt path that leads to the lake.
