Wondering if his defense will use a mental breakdown excuse, since he underwent spinal surgery and then dropped contact with friends and family.
Interesting to see how it will play out.

I don’t care if he was a MAGAt. We are all collectively literally sick, and figuratively sick of being sick of these greedy assholes making massive amounts of money off denying us coverage and killing us with zero repercussions.
Then they gaslit us into believing this is somehow a personal failing.

Not one to normally condone violence, I do wonder at what point persistent medical maleficence by the insurance companies would be considered “violence.” When a company denies medical treatment at twice the industry standard, doesn’t that raise some regulatory questions? When not regulated properly, at what point do we start considering actions like his defense against the threat of violence or even violence currently being perpetrated when reasonably necessary treatment is being denied?

Ya know back in colonial America and into our country’s beginnings. When settlors were slaughtering natives so they could encroach on their lands, oftentimes they would never be convicted of any wrongdoing because juries viewed their actions as necessary to further society and would acquit them unanimously.
Just a thought I had.

Jury nullification. We all need to repeat this legal principle till every American knows about it. Judges often will not inform juries about this option–they and the State do not like jury nullification. Who ever ends up being on the jury, at least one of the 12 better know about this option, and raise it for the other jurors to consider.
“Jury nullification refers to a jury’s knowing and deliberate rejection of the evidence or refusal to apply the law either because the jury wants to send a message about some social issue that is larger than the case itself, or because the result dictated by law is contrary to the jury’s sense of justice, morality, or fairness. Essentially, with jury nullification, the jury returns a “not guilty” verdict even if jurors believe beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant broke the law. This can occur because a not guilty verdict cannot be overturned and jurors are protected regardless of their verdicts.” [https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/jury_nullification](https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/jury_nullification)
